2004Data sheet

With 2004, we benefited from the type of weather cycle which shapes a great vintage, with no shortage of water or periods of excessive heat or cold.

The grapes picked between September 20 and October 6 were vinified separately according to their respective varieties. The resultant wines were then left to mature in new oak barrels for 18 months. The final blend consisted of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc.

On the lines of the 2000 vintage, the Vieux Château Certan 2004 is an extremely classic wine, markedly Cabernet Franc, remarkable by its balance, concentration and wealth of aromas. It is the perfect expression of the best wines produced by the Right Bank in 2004.

"It will be the perfect accompaniment for grilled fish or white meat."
